    I have an active live gold membership but the Xbox doesn't let me use online features. When trying to play online games a pop-up appears and it tells me to buy live gold membership although on my account it says that I have an active gold membership that
    expires February 2019.

    I'm having this problem. I got the xbox live gold 1 month trial today and It doesn't let me play online.

    Please check this page
    http://account.microsoft.com/services
    to see if the subscription is showing there.

    If the subscription shows, try the following steps

    1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later). See here how to:

    http://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-account-xbox-one


    2. Turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and boot up.

    3. Redownload your profile and try again in the game.

    Hi,

    Could you check your subscription status at Sign in to your Microsoft account ?

    Try power cycling your console or re downloading your profile as it may force a refresh.

    If I do that it is not going to reset my online games data right ? i mean that as in ill Still have all my progression in online games saved?

    Yes i have checked it and it says that mu membership is active. I'll have a try on those.

    Your progress is saved doing this and it's also on the xbox servers to sync with. You don't lose progress.

    Then please contact xbox support as they will have to refresh your gold from their end.

    You might have your system in play offline mode the gold subscription pop up is built in the system and will pop up if not connecting
