Doesn't let me change gamertag

So im trying to change my gamertag mainly cause its pretty ****.

I live in Iceland so there are some issues to begin with when it comes to xbox but when i try to change my name it says that the name is available and prompts the "Claim now!" button but when i press it nothing happens, not the usual popup that gives me
the payment option.

I tried changing the locale to something else then it worked but gave me an error message

Tried talking to someone on support except i never got an answer (waiter 3 hours) i was nr 1 in the queue

There are no free gamertag changes unless your tag was a recent system assigned tag. Hope this helps.

I wanted to change my xbox gamer tag and I went to the tab and found a name that was available and clicked confirm, that didn't change it at all and when I went back and tried to try again I had to pay.

 

Does your billing info match your physical location? That can sometimes cause some of those types of purchase errors. You can check at account.microsoft.com.
