Does XDKS.1 still work?

Hello all, I'm a guy who loves to mess around with games and software and explore how they can be broken down or even play pre-release versions of games (I had an offline Xbox 360 that I did this with) and when I learned about the Sandbox ID "XDKS.1" in
the Xbox ones developer settings, I knew although everyone says it's useless and there's nothing there. It would be cool to enable this mode anyway purely to mess around with it. But I remember Microsoft making a public announcement to not mess with this feature
because it could Brick your Xbox. And although this sandbox ID seems to still be working I haven't seen anyone talk about running it recently in the past few months. Now before I go ahead and change this setting I was wondering, has the ID been disabled and
so it could Brick my Xbox? Could I be banned from Xbox Live for enabling it? Or am I good to enable this setting and back when I'm finished without any problems?

Link for tweet? I think what you are referring to is the June XDK which not the DX12 push.

Yes, they enabled this with the June Developer Kit update. Here is an article with more information:

The gist of it is, Microsoft itself didn't disable the Kinect Processing, the added the ability for Developers to turn off Kinect Processing which, with other background processes, adds up to an additional 10% of GPU power now available to Devs who need
it!
