Does Xbox support scalping?

So I have watched the Microsoft store on my old gen like a hawk to find a new series x to buy. but it seems they only sell to companies who feed the void of scalpers. for instant Walmart had a restock today at 12pm est i go to their site and they are selling them 800 plus on their site........ So I call the Microsoft store to get some answers, but they will only give you some condescending answers on the subject and not even help you purchase a console. So with this in mind I am left to assume they don't want to sell you the new series x at regular price they are making some cut on the scalping and are limiting their own supply at Microsoft intentionally to make an extra dollar. This should be investigated further or if it gets out that Microsoft is part of the scam I mean...... really what are we going to do its Microsoft they do what they want. and its not customer service.

If you were that desperate to get a hold of a Series X, you should have pre ordered one for it's release day in November last year.

The Series X's posted on the Walmart site for $800+ are 3rd party sellers, not Walmart themselves.....in the same way that 3rd parties sell products on, say, Amazon...Amazon themselves don't dictate the prices

Ultimately, it's a free market...if scalpers want to use bots to get hold of supplies so they can then sell it on for an absurd mark-up, well, not much you can do about it beyond not buying it at that price. Here in the UK, Series Xs were listing for around £1000+ at the beginning but, as people weren't buying them, prices before Christmas had dropped down to around £500-550

Sure, Microsoft could bring in some sort of system to limit purchases per person but then that will likely incur some sort of lawsuit.

This is what happens now with technology...it happened with the PS5 (and, by all accounts was worse), it happened with the AMD CPUs and GPUs late last year and it happened with NVIDIA GPUs prior to that (and is still ongoing).
