    Does Xbox One allow to store music and videos on the internal HDD?


    Sadly PS4 doesn't do it like its predecessor, but I'm wondering if Xbox One does?

    I guess so because it tries to be an all-in-one device so it'd make sense to permit storing music and videos on the HDD, though I'd like to know for sure. Xbox 360 did somewhat permit even though the music would have to be ripped through a music CD and videos
    were only from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    Watching videos off an external hardrive

    I think this will be an addition in a future update. Or at least I hope so. Being on a Mac, does not allow for easy streaming of music and Videos to the Xbox One for me.

    1tb Seagate external harddrive help

    I bought a 1tb Seagate external hard drive that has a 3.0 usb. When I plug it into my Xbox one Im not receiving the format notification and it will only allow me to store videos and music. I want to store games how do I fix this??

    Currently no media can be downloaded to the console, not even on Xbox Video. That may change, though I doubt you will see any support for user content to be copied to the console.

    Can't get Xbox One S to see all media on 4TB USB HDDs

    It isn't for applications, I'm using it for media files (mainly music and videos). All of my applications are stored on the internal Xbox HDD.

    The internal 500GB HDD is non-removable. You won't be upgrading it. You will be able to add storage via USB 3.0, though.
