Does Xbox Live not have ANY East Coast Servers!?

So I live on the south east coast of the US and I have noticed since buying an Xbox One X that ALL servers for Xbox Live seem to be in California. This explains why my ping is about 64ms all the time when I check it with detailed network statistics. I have
tried pinging the same servers I am connected to using my PC plugged in via ethernet and I get the same ping.

Does Xbox not have any servers for east coast people? I am not sure why but my friend in NY gets a ping of about 28ms but we should be about the same distance away roughly. Only difference is he has FIOS and I have Spectrum but we both have 100mbps download
speed.

I originally started looking at this because almost every MP game I have played since getting an Xbox One X has latency issues or ping spikes. Overwatch suffers from ping spikes about 40% of the time I play probably, BF2 is usually pretty bad about latency
and rubberbanding, and of course PUBG.

But I know that PUBG and BF2 is caused by the servers so its hard for me to know how much of this is server based and how much could be something on my side. My internet is perfect other than using the One X so I'm not sure what is going on. Maybe I just
happen to play games that have massive issues.

Overwatch I'm not sure about. Never had issues with it on PC or PS4 before switching to Xbox One X and now I get ping spikes from 64ms up to 500+ sometimes.

@Corn....how many times does someone have to tell you....COD is being hosted by Activision servers not Microsoft....this was explained in another thread.....and no, everything is not going to the west coast and then back to you, there are servers on the
East coast.....

 

MTU Setting FAIL!

To be fair, I don't think we're "hating" on the East Coast, but there is a Service Alert right now that does affect the East Coast. Please keep an eye on this to see when we have resolved the issue. Thanks!
