Does xbox game data carry over console to console?

About a week ago I bought a used copy of GTA 5 from a friend, official, don't worry .

I have a feeling I will be getting a copy for christmas for xbox one. I have GTA 5 right now for xbox 360 and if I get a new one for christmas, of course I want to play it on next gen. Will my data and levels left off at still be on the xbox one version
of the game? I don't want to start all over from the missions start and stuff. Thanks, happy holidays!!

COD Ghosts upgrade question

That's what your COD account is for. Just like with Battlefield and Origin. These programs allow players to carry over stats, but like what ole KrazyNick said, campaign data does NOT carry over.

Dragon Age Carry Over Data?

I've heard you can carry over your DA data from the 360 DA games to inquisition and was just wondering if the changes in the game are worth carrying over or if it doesn't matter that much. Anybody here have a unique experience carrying over their data or think it's not a good idea?

No. 360 game saves do not transfer to the One at all. For some games, in-game stats and things will carry over, but not game saves.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

With your first question, if you were able to obtain the game through the game pass, if you cancel the subscription you will also lose access to the games. In this case, it would be best to just purchase the game.

With your main question, yes, the save will still transfer on both devices since it is an Xbox Play Anywhere game, you just need to be connected to Xbox Live/Internet whenever you're playing the game.
