does x-box gift cards work on x-box360? consoles

i was wanting to know if the x-box gift cards work on x-box360 consoles and can they be used on downloadable dlc such as mass effect 3 disc cause it says i need to put a redem a code from some kind of gift card i think but im not entirely sure cause i never
had to use gift cards my mother is afraid to use her debit card or credit card to buy the dlc off of the online dlc downloadable content my mom is just gonna ask walmart if the x-box gift cards work for the x-box360 system but i wanted to find out my way
XD so why not use this site and ask? i usually ask google if they can be used on such and such but i wanted to try this out

I redeemed a R300 gift card but the money is not showing on my xbox but can I do to fix the problem

I redeemed the gift card on my laptop and then when I got back to my x box the money the I redeemed did my show on my x box I just want to know why is that and how can I fix it

в учётную запись почти сразу вылетает ошибка Код состояния 8с150009 Пишет что неполадка в работе службы X-box .
