    Does voice command only work with Kinnect equipped Xboxone?


    I have been searching this site and cannot determine if voice commands work with all Xboxone's or only those equipped with Kinnect. Please help so I can stop trying to talk to it, that is to say, if it ain't listening. Thanks.

    Does other voice commands work ,in other apps ?.

    Have you tried setting up kinnect again ..?.

    Just a suggestion , I don't have netflix .

    Kinnect2 and Center Speakers

    I sure hope the kinnect2 does a better job than the old one. My kinnect sits above my TV just below my center speaker. The kinnect picks up everything coming out of my center speak making it pretty much useless as far as picking up any voice commands.
    For example while playing Madden. I can not use any voice commands using the kinnect.

    Hi there voice commands only work with kinect, if you dont have kinect it will not work and you will have to do or find what your looking for manually with your controller.

    If Microsoft removed the Kinect...

    The XboxOne has the Kinnect as part of the package by design. Because of this, developers are more likely to add Kinnect Features.

    This should be great for games like Destiny and Elder Scrolls Online, where you can use Voice Commands and gestures to play the game.

    Unless those features are overwrite basic button controls for anything that isnt a "Kinect Game" it doesnt matter.

    Guys the kinnect is far more than flailing around. The 360 kinnect was only the beginning as granted the majority of kinnect only games requires you to be active as the controller it can be implemented in a variety of ways. The new kinnect will be revolutionary
    to gamers and developers. Think for instance madden ( I'm sure y'all don't play) audibles with only your voice, play selling with only ur voice. Now think of a game like call of duty or any army game. To call commands to troops through voice or arm gestures.
    It's far more than just being an active controller.
