Does USB3.0 of Xbox One support UASP?

In June Update, X1 can support external storage via USB3.0, but my question is that the USB3.0 of X1 can support UASP?

UASP is very useful for SSD! Windows 8 can natively support it.

Hard Drive Upgrades

the xbox will support up to 2 usb3.0 hdds externally at 8TB each for a total of 16TB. you can only have 2 hdd's connected though for game storage.

 

Which External HDD you using?

Using Seagate Expansion Desktop 3TB USB3.0. Worked like a charm from day one of the patch enabling external HDDs.

 

I have my SSD in a USAP enclosure. Don't know if it helps. It's definitely a bit snappier loading Forza 5 and CoD Ghosts than the internal HDD was.

 

I don't think it supports UASP since people only seem to get a 20-30% improvement in load times. I've ordered an enclosure that supports Sata 3 and UASP and has a 1053E chipset from ASMedia, will get it next week. (Also, I have a Samsung Evo 840 SSD that
supports 500 MB read/writes.) Once I get the enclosure I'll post some load times, fingers crossed... ;-)

Are there any News? People should vote for faster external devices.

I like the xbox one but I HATE the loading and installing times in games ! If this is implemented I would buy a fast SSD and get rid of all the loading Problems (for me it IS a Problem).

I upgraded my PC with a SSD (Windows 8) and this was the best invest on a PC I ever made.

If XBOX One could also took FULL advantage of SSD - I would be very happy !

load times less than a minute are perfectly exceptable, go back a few years when tapes use to lead the way and spend upto 45 minutes loading a game, that teaches patience.

 

Are you guys buying the cases for better heat disaption and longevity in the external drives? Just wondering of that is a concern with playing games off an external drive. I will need one very son since I'm up to 83% on my internal drive already.

I see it another way. There are SSD hard Drives out there and Microsoft "only" needs an update and use UASP. This way all would be much faster. In Windows 8 it's included - why not in xbox one?

I really hope that with windows 10 on xbox one it will be supported.

So i guess with ssd the xbox one is giving max 200 mb read? that sucks was going to buy a ssd for my xbox one but now in doubts..
