Does this sound right to anyone?

I bought a Xbox One for Christmas through the Xbox website. This console did not work out of the box. Sent it back after troubleshooting for 6 - 7 hrs working of it (chat sessions, updating, etc....) Will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to get a refurbished
one back. I had bought a refurbished one initially and was told a new one would be sent, but that isn't happening. I am fine with that, except why tell me something different. It just seems with 2 - 3 weeks to get a replacement for something that never
worked is ridiculous. Am I expecting too much or justified in being angry?

Well if thats the official statement given to you from the distributor then there is no reason not to believe it. I am curious though, how long ago did they send you this message, what distributor it is and why you havent been raising hell about this with
them since day 2? I have not heard of a statement given by MS on console shortages however. In fact a few friends picked up consoles on Friday.

A retail seller through Ebay or an individual? Odd place to buy it if you ask me. Why not go direct through a retailer directly?

Sounds a little suspect to me. If something like this was happening, one of hte tech news sites would likely have reported on it.

 

No that's about right for the incompetent workers of MS, MS has never had "speedy" replacement for there equipment. Back on the 360 I waited 4 weeks for a replacement headset once. Another reason Ill never do direct business with MS and resort to their
tech support as a last resort.
