Does the Xbox One X run better/faster then the xbox one original.

So I bought the Xbox One Rare Replay bundle... And I was thinking of upgrading to a Xbox One X especially since Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be coming out. (among other games.)

I don't really care about the xbox one enchance graphics or whatnot. or the 4K or such... just a waste of money for something I can already see perfectly well.

But I would buy it if the loading times, lag, ram, etc was better...

Examples. Dungeon III picking up a bunch of monsters and dropping them causes great amount of lag.. often down to 5 fps for 3-4 seconds.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey opening the game menu, or using the bird to scout while on your ship.. tends to give a little loading screen since you are further away because the boat goes on without you.

Loading times in PREY or the lag spike from many objects colliding.

RAGE 2 lots of slowdown and lag in certain high density areas, or just randomly.

Fable 3 load times, and music jitters...

In short anything that will help with lagging, loading times, respawning times, frames per second, (at least standard solid 30 or 60) etc.

I talked with my cousin about this and he said you'd only want to buy an xbox one x for the improved graphics... but I think performance, and fast loading times is way more important... you don't need a high pixel realistic quality game to have fun. (look
at nintendo or sony they have ton of great games, that don't require 30 plus gigs of graphics.)

Anyways besides that little trade war... would an Xbox One X be better... or am I just better off waiting for the Xbox Series X? (kinda sucks since I can't trade my xbox one original for the new one.)

EDIT: also I know that the China virus has blocked a lot of imports and distribution centers.. But I can probably find an old used XB1X at a pawnshop or something.

in regards to the lag etc. be sure to try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

In regards to the difference between Xbox One and Xbox One X performance.

It's not just the graphics, load times etc. are better too, it's a more powerful console so can do certain things quicker, so it's not just graphics. It's smaller then the regular Xbox One too.

But if you really want to get an improvement in things like loading times etc. then I would suggest waiting for the Xbox Series X, since especially since it should launch this November

To get the full benefits of upgrading to a One X you would have to get a 4K UHD HDR10 television too.

I would expect a console that is 2 years old to be better than the 5 year old original console. I should imaging the xbox one x is faster and a better gaming experience than the original xbox one and the newer s model.

It will be playable on Xbox One as it should be coming to Game Pass,

However it will look much better on the Series X and run much smoother and faster.

It's up to the publisher/developer to make a game Xbox One enhanced, Microsoft can't force them to enhance their old games. Don't feel cheated, your version of the game does have some enhancements running on the Xbox One X hardware that the One X provides
to all Xbox games be default. These include:

More stable framerate.

A 16x Anisotropic filter by default (provides better detail at longer distances).

No dynamic resolution - which basically means the One X will run BF1 at 1080P at all times, whereas BF1 on the original Xbox One and One S will play at lower resolutions than this on some bigger maps and when under pressure. This doesn't happen on the One
X,

Believe me, I've played this game on original hardware and on the PS4 Pro. I've found the game to play better on the One X.
