Does the Xbox One support HDMI Ethernet Channel?

Getting a 4K Tv soon, I'm reading about how it works with HDMI ethernet channel (HDMI 1.4)

so from my router to tv via cat5 cable, then from HDMI to device you can carry infomation over without another cat5 cable to said device and router

However, I'm not sure If the xbox can do this, I've researched. No luck. Anyone got an answer?

    thanks.

    :)

  2. HDMI Ethernet Channel support on Xbox One X?

I recently started reading about HDMI 1.4 and 2.0b and all that jazz, and learned that since HDMI 1.4, there's this thing called HDMI Ethernet Channel, which would in theory allow you to connect a Smart TV to your internet via ethernet, and then use HEC compliant HDMI cables
to share that wired connection to multiple devices.

It would essentially eliminate the need for multiple ethernet cables.

I've been trying to find if Xbox One X supports this, and all I can find is that the original Xbox One does not.

Does anyone know if Xbox One X supports this?

    Network or Halo: TMCC?

No I didn't. I don't think Halo: TMCC support LAN, or does it?

And does it make a difference if I have every Xbox One connected by ethernet or does it not matter?

No Picture/Sound with DirecTV - Sync Issues?

You cant use the HDMI cable that DirecTV provides, you will need a high speed HDMI with Ethernet due to HDCP protocol. I have tested almost every version of HDMI cables out there as i have all of them. Only one that work right from the get go was HDMI with
    Ethernet.

    Hope that helps you.

Incompetent Customer Service - Dolby Digital via HDMI

HDMI cabling, by design, is compatible with any HDMI device. While there are a few variations (Ethernet, High Speed, Standard Speed), if it's High Speed HDMI cable it will support everything on the 360. It does not have to be a Microsoft-specific HDMI cable.

Far as audio is concerned, HDMI on the 360 supports two channel LPCM and Dolby Digital 5.1. It isn't limited to a two-channel output. There are several other lossless multi channel formats that have been added to the HDMI standard over the years. Those do
    not work with the 360.

mtnavalanche, list the specific equipment you're trying to use with the 360. That would be the first place to start when investigating a surround sound issue.

zxTHE ROOSTERxz, when you say that HDMI doesn't work, do you mean video? Try resetting the display as listed

    here
. That will at least reset the HDMI output to something that should work with any HDMI input.

XBOX ONE and what it means for us without cable boxes?

I do not have cable so I bought a iView 3500STB DTV Converter Box, which has HDMI out. Does anyone know if the XBOX one channel guide will support over the air channels..... In the demos I have only seen options for cable providers.

    HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 ??

    Hello,

You can use any type of HDMI cable (1.3, 1.4) doesn't matter they are all picked up by the Xbox 360 and should be picked up instantly by your monitor either way. The only difference between 1.3 and 1.4 is the following:

1.4 has a much higher resolution compared to 1.3

    1.4 totally supports 3D while 1.3 only supports 3D in 1080i

1.4 is equipped with an audio return channel not present in HDMI 1.3

1.4 has an Ethernet channel while 1.3 does not

1.4 defines a newer cable standard than in 1.3

That's really it, other than that, you should be good to go.
