    Does the Xbox 360 E or S (4GB) allow external hardrives to store games?


    Hey, was thinking about getting a Xbox 360 E or S (4GB) to play some older games on that are not backwards compatible. Was wondering if i can connect a usb external hard drive (300GB) to get another 300gb of storage to store games on. I was also reading
    some older forums from like 2012 saying something about only being able to use 16GB regardless of hard drive size? Just wondering if they have updated this or if u can use external hard drives in general. Thanks.

    Xbox 360 E Hard Drive?

    I want to get an HDD for a 4GB Xbox 360 E but all I seem to find are hard drives for the Xbox 360 S. Are Xbox 360 S hard drives compatible with the Xbox 360 E?

    .I have an 4gb S Xbox 360 with a 250gb hardrive. In the xbox storage settings it shows 'Microsoft' against this drive...does this mean it is certified?

    how can I tell if the emulator software is on the HDD?

    also how do you copy the disc to this HDD with the S version?

    Yes you can use an external hard drive. There was an update a few years ago to use up to 2TB.

    So I have the xbox360 slim with 4gb . I just bought a hardrive that's 500gb, when I put that in my Xbox what happens to the stuff that I have saved on the 4gb part. Does it disappear ? Does it get moved to the new hardrive?what?
