Does the TV matter?

Hello,

I recently got the Xbox Series X because the game I play (Destiny 2) would no longer be compatable with my old console so I am wondering if your TV isnt the newest one will it have me not be able to play the game?

(What I mean by newest is you can change the FPS for it, on my TV I am not able to so will that make me not be able to play the game?)

Don't worry - you will always be able to play your games, even on old TVs. As long as your TV has an HDMI input, you are good to go. The game doesn't care what the TV is, and the XBOX will adjust its output to work on your TV, even if it's just 1080 and 30fps.

You can make the most of whatever TV you have by setting your console correctly.

Go to SETTINGS>TV and DISPLAY OPTIONS

Have a play with all the settings in there - tweak the resolution, the colour levels, refresh rate, go nuts! You can't do any damage! The XBOX should auto-detect what your TV can support and will grey out or remove any options it can't handle. 4K TV DETAILS will show you what the XBOX has detected your TV can handle. If you don't know what some of the settings are, don't worry, most people don't! Just Google them to find out more, or maybe even Google to see if there is a list of recommended settings for your specific TV.

Destiny 2 will always be compatible with the Xbox One. If your TV isn't 4K or has the latest tech. Your console will still run on it, and you should still be able to play Destiny 2 on it.
