Does the Series X run 4K/120 fps native?

I may be a little late to the party here but I have a series X and the Acer Nitro XV282K monitor which has hdmi 2.1 with my consoles settings set for 4K/120 fps and yet non of my games can run them at the same time. I either have to choose "quality" which runs the game at 4K or "performance" which gets the game to run 120 fps but takes down the graphics drastically (with Destiny 2 and Halo Infinite being the games I tried this on) . So what I'm asking is does the series X not run native 4K/120 fps or are the games I'm playing that are enhanced not able to run them at the same time?

It entirely depends on the game.

Games have a lot of things to do, physics, AI and more, that are more important than blasting frames. 4K/60 is considered a target for AAA

I bekeive the Touryst does it, and will even scale to 8K. The overhead is just too much for both

Yes but as mentioned you will have issues

Only the xbox one x and series x are 4k native

Most.games will.only run 1080p max on series s

It will do less CPU intensive stuff like 4k streaming

Series x does 4k 60hx with possible 120hz (dropped fps )

Xbox one x does only 4k 30hz

I am pretty sure the Series X runs natively at 4K 120 FPS as long as the game supports it. You getting a 1920x1080 FHD monitor is 100% fine. Some developers have opted for a “Performance” mode and a “Quality” mode. So you might get a 1440p game at 120FPS
on the performance mode vs the same game at 4K with 60FPS on the quality mode.

What resolution are you trying to run at

If 4k 120 Hz then no it won't run at thaf

The max for series s is 1440p at 120hz

It will play at 4k bur only some games and with issues

The series s is meant for 1080p 120 max

With suggested 90hz

The xbox series x and ps5 and switch pro are the only 4k consoles

One x does 4k at 30hz and ps4 pro upscales
