    System update does not work (black screen).

    If you haven't already done so, try a hard reset; hold the power button for 10 seconds then press it again to reboot the system. Fingers crossed it will then boot correctly.

    Few questions: Does your system have an attached harddrive? (One that you purchased seperatly) Have you completed the system updates? Such as the new dashboard update?

    I am having the same problem, and its ridiculous that an Xbox update is causing this problem and their solution does not work coupled with just buy a brand new system. Why would I want to buy another system if the next update could do the same thing and
    I have been seeing people with new systems doing the same thing. Perhaps I should have gotten the PS4, but I love the Halo and Fable franchises.

    Not all games have been updated to work with the new system. So you will see that in some games. Games released in 2020 and beyond should work with the new system.

    Try uninstalling the game and then reinstall it. Also, make sure you go to your Microsoft Store app and update the game's system update.
    I have reinstalled several times and it does not work. In store, apps are updated automatically. What does game's system update mean?
