Does the Kinect 2, allow the Xbox to be more PC

This weekend I was on the ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) beta, I sat at my PC wishing I had ab xbox controller, because of the simplicity of that is required for movement and many of the other features.

In a later discussion on this forum about ESO, I was discussing the porting of it to console, the controls for ESO are vast way way more than you could even hope to fit on a controller and its not like ES Skyrim where the game pauses when you go into the
inventory.

So roll on the kinect, voice actiivation commands, could easily fix and probably enhance the game, eg putting on disguise could be a voice command, switching class, taking position, Imaging spells, XBOX FIREBALL muuuahhhhhh.

Then gestures, setting spell gestures, and fast action gestures would also help, again fireball would be cool, but it would also help the games processes becuase you have to stop tapping buttons so your commands won't stack up and be to late like on my PC
experience.

I know this is a fairly bad example, and voice commands could have been simpler than the kinect, but if developer do adopt this, speach which is usable on all PC and PS, then it certainly lines the kinect up for greater things.

The next question would be are developers wanting to create a better experience and use knew tech when some people (PS none mic ppl) might not have the tech, and if they did would they then think should have bought an xbox?

There's still not one single good reason to force Kinect on gamers

One question has to be, why isn't there a Kinect for PC? which would then allow the developers to focus the kinect for more than just Xbox ones.

Most likely the Kinect 2 will either be built into the next XBOX or come in the box with the console itself.The console

will probobly have a Kinect 2 title in the box as either a download or a full game.The

Kinect 2,will probobly have more capabilities then the original Kinect,which might allow,new genres to be played with the Kinect sensor as well as games being playable without having to have "rail" games,unless it's meant to be a game like the GunStringer
or Time Crysis.The Kinect 2 might be having something as big as say Call of Duty or a Street Fighter game if the Kinect 2's better then the original.

 

I like the ideas, except yelling spells. Seems doable. Lets wait and see.

 

Wouldn't like to have gesture controlled spells or actions. I play at a desk with a small amount of space to move backwards. My kinect can't see the floor and I'm sat too close to use gestures so if that was a compulsory or heavy influenced feature, there
would be no point in me buying the game. I know I'm not alone with this either so they'd be missing out a large portion of their target audience.
