Does the Elite 2 Controller really only have 90-day warranty?

I bought the very expensive Elite 2 Xbox controller. I was reading the warranty manual and it says that Xbox accessories only have a 90-day warranty. Does that include the Elite 2 controller?

I can't believe this 180-dollar controller wouldn't even have a 1-year warrant. So if I have problems in 91 days then I'm just out of luck?

Or am I reading this wrong?

EDIT:

I bought this at a Best Buy in the USA in case that makes a difference.

I prefer buying my major electronics through Best Buy just for their Black Tie Warranty. It's worth every penny if nothing more than peace of mind. I've replaced a few bits of gear over the years for various reasons and they don't ask how it got messed
up. There's also plenty of gear I've never needed the warranty on but I would absolutely buy it again if I did it over.

Unfortunately elites are far more fragile.

ive still got day one controllers that work, yet had two elites that broke.

I thought about the Best Buy protection plan but it was like $40 and only for 2 years. I've had my previous Xbox controller for more than 2 years and it's not even Elite, it's just a regular controller so I though it was not worth it. If it was 5-year
protection, then it would've made sense to me.
