    Does Streaming With A Logitech Webcam Plugged In Still Shut Down Consoles?


    I wanted to use a camera whilst streaming, but saw that a fair few streamers had issues when using a camera with their consoles, namely that it'd shut down after around an hour or so of use. Is this still true? I'm on the omega ring by the way, if that helps and haven't been able to see anything in the patch notes about it. Camera is the C922.

    Yes a webcam will work with your console. Microsoft recommends Logitech C920 HD Pro or Logitech C922 HD Pro Stream. In the beginning I just used an regular webcam and it worked.

    I have the same probably my xbox turns off for awhile when im streamjnf on mixer. With a webcam. I got the logitech webcam. My xbox does not turn off when im streaming without a webcam.

    "You'll need a 1080p webcam that has a YUY2 or NV12 format to stream with it. Most Logitech and Microsoft LifeCam webcams have this format. If you're not sure which format your webcam has, check with the manufacturer.

    Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000
