Does Series X support USB headset?

Hey there!

I have a Kraken 7.1 v2 mercury white usb headset. It works perfectly on PS4. Now I’ve got Series X but it seems like xbox won’t let me use my headset. I tried to use usb to 3.5 audiojack converter and connected it to controller but still no luck.

Is there any chances Microsoft would let us use usb headsets ? Or should I just sell it and get a special one for SX?

There are multiple articles stating audio compatibility via USB. If optical is necessary, there are various HDMI to optical devices available which you may need to add.

They haven't released all of the detailed information, although it is likely. Keep following news and announcements about the Series X and they will probably give more details just before release.

As far as I am aware, it was announced at E3 last year that all officially licensed headsets for Xbox One will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As for unofficial USB headsets, there has been no confirmation of this.
