    Does "Reset and Keep My Games & Apps" also keep Home Association?


    I know "Reset and Remove Everything" removes Home Association, but the other option "Reset and Keep my Games & Apps" makes no mention of it.

    I've been having an on going issue with Hulu and Disney+ refusing to launch unless they are the last app used before a hard reset. I hate having to hard reset my xbox every time i want to use Hulu. They work fine on my other Xbox so i think the issue is some sort of corruption or conflict with left over data from insider builds. Hence why I wish to do a Reset, but I don't want do it if i will lose Home Associations as i cant get one of them back for awhile due to not remembering the password and the owner not currently in a position in which they can be contacted.

    Does Reset and Keep My Games & Apps also keep Home Association?

    The only way the Home association is changed is if you sign into another Console and make that your home Xbox.

    Even if you were to go in and disassociate your current home xbox as your home xbox and do not make another console your home xbox and go back in and make that same xbox your home xbox it will not count as one of your switches.

    I posted this question to reddit, and it was there I was given an answer.

    Yes, and no. Xbox stores Home Associations on servers and not on the Xbox's themselves. Either Factory Reset Options will send a signal to remove the Association. However you have the option of Resetting without being connected to the internet, and doing
    so will prevent that signal from being sent out. Allowong you to retain all home associations.

    I've gone ahead and did a Factory Reset and Remove Everything to test this. It worked 100%.

    Im not saying they aren't correct, but it doesn't answer my question. I'm not asking about if it will count as a Switch. Im asking if it removes the association. Xbox.com says "Reset and Remove Everything" removes the home associations so either Xbox.com
    is incorrect or "The only way the Home association is changed is if you sign into another Console and make that your home Xbox." Isn't a correct answer as it directly contradicts Xbox.com.

    They posted an answer, but saying it would not count as one of my switches doesnt even remotely answer my question. Xbox.com itself says that the one option does indeed delete the home associations. So either is he saying Xbox.com is lying or he didnt
    really read my question.

    It also contradicts Xbox.com which says Reset and Remove everything removes Home Association .
