Does Network Transfer work between Xbox and Pc ?

I understand that two builds for different platforms would not be 100 percent compatible but could network transfer be used in the future to transfer the common files between the two operating platforms? Why? I have a 500 gb a month limit in a rural area.
I take my xbox to the city so im am able to download and play the latest 100gb releases. This is the workaround for rural living. Often a better version is available on Pc or my Pc hardware is better than my xbox one so it makes sense to play it there.

Ideally Microsoft has a single OS plan to accommodate the Pc and Console Market in the future. Im asking if its possible to use network transfer between console and pc and if not what's preventing it ?

I'm authenticated at both ends using my Microsoft account and on the same network so security and piracy should be little to no concern. The games are either paid for or used on subscripton through gamepass which is again an always online service . Maybe
it comes down to the fact the game builds are just wholly incompatible but I would still like that answer from those who are qualified to answer.

No it does not. They are not compatible as you suspected. An Xbox is not a windows PC despite sharing many components

I'm not sure if that will work between the One and the Series X though. If it does, then your games would be transferred that way. Saves are stored on the cloud and would resync when you start a game.

no physical access to router. also, no wifi adapter on xbox, I am routing internet through my PC with a network bridge between LAN and pc's wifi adapter. method has worked fine until the other problems started

Would transferring data off of system and then formatting the hard drive work?

Should br noted to network transfer you still need the purchasing profile on the other console to be signed in

Network transfer is between xboxes it DOES NOT transfer ownership between gamertags

Nor can it be used to switch home console it's is to reduce download

If you are out if switches you would have to sign online

To complete what you are doing you must network transfer then sign in on your brothers console to complete

Then make it home console if he wants to use it on his profile

If you don't have switches left it won't solve the issue

It's not possible to transfer ownership of games between accounts. You would also need to purchase the PC version in order to play on the PC. The Xbox version will only work on the Xbox.
