Does my data transfer from discs to downloads?

Hello. A long while back I played the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, on my Xbox 360. I made a lot of progress on it, then my disc was unable to be read. I wish to re-obtain the game through the xbox marketplace. Will the progress I had on the disc be accessible
through the one I will download from the marketplace?

~ I am on the Xbox 360, and I'm on the same account I used when I played the game on the disc

Broken hard drive! I have a few questions about transferring data.

First, the symptoms of the hard drive, and then I have a few questions

-The Xbox will start turning on, then right before or right after it loads up the dashboard, it freezes.

-When the hard drive is not in, no freezing. No game data, either, of course.

Now for questions.

If I transfer data from the corrupted hard drive to a new one, will it corrupt the new hard drive?

Can you even transfer data from corrupted hard drives?

Does it just transfer games, or does it also transfer my save data from said games?

Games saves are separate from game files, so they'll work the same if it's a disc or download.

Keep in mind you will have to purchase the game from the marketplace or buy it used from a retailer and maybe buy disk warranty

if it is on the backward compat list then when you insert the disc it should then download the game over the internet as it only uses the disc for authentication, it does not transfer any data from the disc.

what game are you trying to install.

I mean download Xbox Games data from the Internet on the computer and transfer it by this method to Xbox.

Like what 'PSX Download Helper' does.

Ok. I'm going to clarify this as best I can. This is the account that I downloaded the content on (keltboy). I transfered the data across from my old console to the new console. I have also transfered the data recently, and it still says to download it.
It does not appear in my download history.

No offense to the people who already answered, but I won't be satisfied until a forum support or a tech support person can solve my problem.
