    Does money spent with Xbox gift cards go towards VIP spending?


    I always buy Xbox gift cards and redeem them on my Xbox to make game purchases. Will this still count for my VIP star boost?

    XBOX Live Gift Cards

    There’s Xbox gift cards, which can be spent on anything in the store, and then there are Xbox Live subscription cards. If you bought a card specifically for Gold, then it’s just for that. I would go back to the store and exchange it for Xbox gift cards.

    My VIP on Xbox live rewards. Gift cards.

    In refunds of my VIP on Xbox Live rewards says that no earnings are made in subscriptions and gift cards, but if I buy with balance from my Microsoft account, gift cards, if it works true? It refers to rather that I will not be reimbursed for buying a gift
    card and not to what if I use gift card money to buy Noe reimburse.

    For help with the Rewards program, it's best to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions support forum. Payment method doesn't matter for VIP eligible purchases.

    As long as you spend the amount that's listed you'll be fine. You don't have to spend more. It should take about 96 hours for the credits to show as pending after you spent the amount needed. VIP doesn't have anything to do with the offers, but any purchases
    that count towards the offer will not count towards your VIP rebate.

    Normally the Visa gift cards that are purchased at stores like that do not work for purchases on Xbox and this is through the Bank that handles the gift card because they are thinking that you are trying to purchase a renewing subscription and these
    types of purchases can not be made with the gift cards like that.
    please note I put the gift card in pay pal who accepted it as
    cash. it now should be money to spend and Microsoft still does not allow purchase.
