Does Microsoft just not care about their customers?

So about two weeks ago, someone stole my gamertag its “Risk” they logged into my account and changed it, then they put it on a brand new account. I reported this to microsoft and they wont do anything about it because they could care less, ive talked to
multiple people who have all said different things so i dont know what to believe or how to go about it. Theres proof that someone from a different IP address took it, they possibly used a VPN but i reported it, and they told me the “offline team” will investigate
it and will get back to me within 72 hours and its been around 2 weeks and i never got messaged about it, xbox really condones hackers and supports them huh? The person who took it plays call of duty and everything and is adding all of these people, the day
i woke up to my gamertag being changed i reported it. It should’ve been a red flag that the account that stole it was just recently made and its brand new like obviously i was hacked but they still dont wanna do anything about it and after having that gamertag
for nearly five years it just makes me sad that the xbox support team could care less about gamertags... makes me wanna switch and get a ps5 when those drop honestly. If anyone has had something similar to this happen to them what did you do about it? I just
want my tag back but xbox is making it such a hassle. At first they even refused to refund the purchase that was on my account for the name change which is technically fraud, they still didnt refund me but instead i called and they gave me a free name change
but that still doesnt change the initial problem i have of them allowing hackers to do what they want.

Then why would someone log into my account and change my gamertag? Lmao how are you gonna tell me someone didnt change my tamertag

i dont think that anyone has taken your gamertag. you know that you can now use same gamertags with a #NUMBER ?

You won't switch. You will keep buying their games and add-on gizmos and take it. Microsoft does care about customers, they care about customers who are not yet "their" customers and want to bring on more new sales. Once you are using their product, mission
successful and you are now just a statistic for their Q earnings.
