Does having the Kinect unplugged make the XB1 run faster?

So, I have a question that has probably been answered but I honestly couldn't find it around the site so. I was wondering if you have the kinect unplugged on the Xbox One, if it speeds it up any? Or is the kinect integrated into the game/development code
and make no difference either way? I'm kind of confused on the matter. I actually unplugged mine so I could get the maximum speed out of my Xbox One and not have any slow downs, but I'm not sure if it's even necessary if the Kinect is integrated into the development
kits.

Xbox Fitness kicked me to Home Screen

i'm having a kinect issue with mine today it keeps coming up that it's unplugged , checked the wires to make sure it's not loose or anything , reset my one but still seems to be playing up , i can workout but it keeps pausing everytime it comes up kinect
is unplugged , very frustrating ??

ok so I unplugged the kinect sensor so I can return it for repair and now my xb1 just goes to black after spending about 15 minutes in the start up screen.....

 

Ok... Quick answer is no. No, unplugging it does nothing except stop it from functioning. No "speed boost", "performance boost" or anything like that.

Also, if you search first, you might find the answer before creating a new thread for something that's been covered many, many...... many times.

 

It doesn't speed it up at all. The confusion came when they announced that devs could get the extra resources the Kinect used. So the devs could choose not to use the Kinect and have a little more power. Something like that anyway. Someone else can explain
better than me. Some thought that meant unplugging the Kinect made it faster but it was only on a game development level. At least that's how I understand t.

Unplugging the Kinect with the $500 Xbox One doesn't make it more powerful because my guess is that unlocking that extra power would be more of a software issue, not hardware a issue.

No, the system is programed to make resources available for the Kinect, regardless of if it's plugged in or not.

 

As others have said it makes no difference. IMO if you live in a region with voice commands enabled you should keep it plugged up.

 

Oh yes, it runs much faster, without that heavy kinect attached it can do the 100 metre dash lol.
