Does getting booted offline mess with pulling host?

I used to pull host all the time on Halo Reach, I got pretty good and pretty competitive at it, I would pull host maube every 8/10 games, and I would do great on it, ny team mates would complain but they still did okay.

I ran ran into a team that was rumored to know booters, halfway through when we'be almost won I get host booted offline, after that I pulled host maybe 3 or so out of every 10 games. Couple days later I and a couple of my friends get booted yet again, and
now I'm only pulling host in custom games in a 1v1, but halfway through I'll lose host.

From what hat ive heard, to fix ir you need a new xbox all together and not get booted offline, or a new ISP(?) can anyone tell me if they know anything about this? I've tried everything and my connection has been considerably different lately.

I would contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). From there, I'm sure they can track down this individual making cyber threats

Again,you need to contact your isp as it's down to them to solve,not Microsoft.

 

Halo Reach uses a 'ranking' system when it picks host. If your connection is the best out of anyone in the game lobby, it picks you as host. (Best as in, latency and upload bandwidth). The second criteria is the how many times you've hosted successfully.
The more times you've finished games, the more likely you are to host. That being said, no one can 'boot' you off of being host. Unless they're using lag switches, in which case you report them, there's nothing they can really do. People can quit, but the
only time the game picks a new host is if the host quit. If the game can't find a suitable host, everyone in the lobby is dropped.

 

Also, you don't really know who's host. In any Team playlists, the host is usually one of the two people at the top of the list before the game starts, or, while the score is at 0.
