Does gaming make you nauseous when playing?

I get pretty sick playing specific games.

Some cutscenes, background animations, or movement styles make me really sick. Here's how I deal with it:

• Take frequent short breaks where I close my eyes or look at something without a screen
• Turning down the sensitivity
• Sitting further away from the screen
• Changing the perspective field (many games let you do it in settings)
• Turn off things like view bobbing or sprint shaking
• Massaging the base of my skull or the jaw joint
• Get good sleep (gaming while tired makes it worse)
• Avoid playing splitscreen or games where players can pull each other's view around (like Castle Crashers or Diablo co-op)
• Adjusting brightness/contrast settings to reduce eye strain
• Regulating sinus pressure
• Avoid spinning animations

I saw the comment about her middle ear problem. Anything that affects the inner portions of the ear (sinus congestion, hearing issues, ear infections, jaw pain, inflammation, etc) can worsen motion sickness because it impacts your sense of balance and position.
That's probably why a lot of people are saying they only feel it when they're sick.

I don’t find myself nauseous or that I am more or less sick when I play games, but at times, I admit that when I play too long at rainbow six, has strength to be too focused on the noises and on the image, I think
with fatigue there may be some health implications. I now organize myself to play just a few hours with breaks of 15 to 20 minutes after 1h30 game

As long as I eat enough and take a break every hour and a half I'm alright.

Thank you for the tip! I only get nauseous when I play VR. I have tried the tablets, sometimes works. I am going to try your other tips and if they work I can start playing again, thank you for the tips!
