Does changing emails for an Xbox account take the files (ex. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)...

About transferring of Xbox account to another account, I am afraid that even to this date this feature is still not available for Xbox or Microsoft accounts. Once a gamertag and purchases has been associated to a Microsoft email, it will stay there including all achievements, purchases, saved games, etc.

Though yes you can do change the email address where your account is associated but to answer your question, it will also change the email address your mother is using for the apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint if she is using this account for the apps.

You can manage your alias by signing in at https://account.microsoft.com/profile page. But take a note of this important details. NOTE: If you remove an alias that's an email address from a Microsoft domain (like @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, or @msn.com), you're permanently deleting the alias and it can't be associated with any Microsoft account again.

If the one you are using is one of these domains, I suggest not to delete or remove the address as that will permanently delete the account you have including its content. More details can also be found here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-...

As a fellow gamer I understand why you wanted to achieve this as of the moment, this is the only feature available for Microsoft and Xbox accounts.

Can I change the email on the overall Microsoft account (that the Xbox profile is linked to) to my child's email, and then setup a new Microsoft account with my original email so I can then just use my Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) subscription from that?

My issue is I need to keep my Office subscription with my email address - - which is also the address of the Microsoft account overall. And my email / Microsoft account is linked to the Xbox profile used by my child.

Before we proceed... What suffix does your parents email end with? ex: XXXXXX@Outlook.com . Let us know!

Do not change the email if your parents email is a Hotmail or Outlook email. If you do they will lose it and not have access to it.

If your parents email is anything other than a Microsoft email (ex: yahoo, Gmail) you can change it.

Attempted to take ownership on the XBOX folder. everything EXCEPT the .exe files changed. ALL of the .exe files in that folder did not change they all had the same error " Failed to enumerate... Access denied. I can't even change anything with the permissions section either. All grayed out.

My microsoft account was hacked and they changed my email, password and phone number. I still can see my authenticator generating codes. I tryed to recover it but i cant. They say that i cant prove that the account was mine. I dont know how to prove that the account is mine. I have all my documents saved in word and powerpoint on that account and i dont want to lose them + a lost of things in some games.

I can prove that I use this account since 2018 and that it was and it still is connected to my epic games account
