does blocking people even work?

I have recently blocked someone from my friend's list and still there name repeatedly keeps showing back up. Is there a way permanently block them?? any advice would help please

about a month ago I had 5 new gamer tags saying that they added me as a friend,nothing suspicious about that except they all popped up at the same time but each had a different date at which they added me aydin338 added me 14 weeks ago AtomicTiara6567 added
me 12 weeks ago lewyboy 2002 added me 12 weeks ago SixCash998022 added me 9 weeks ago falcon5124 added me 9 weeks ago problem is I clean out my followers list every couple of hours but when I tried to remove them they just stayed in my followers list I can
still remove new people but not these ones I have managed to get two of them to block me they have even blocked their friends list but I have access to their friends list and followers list I need these people gone so I can put my friends and my kids back
on my friends list

You have to block and ignore

And don't msg them after if you do it canceks.the block

thanks. i never messeged them just kept changeing friend ship status to remove friend, i couldn't figure out why there name kept popping back up

There's really nothing you can do if you see your blocked person in someone else's friend's list.

If you mean that they are still in your Friends list, then you just need to remove them as a "friend".

Blocking players just prevents them from contacting you and playing with you. It doesn't wipe them off the face of the earth!

just block and move on, he does not have the ability to do anything, the amount of people that have a family member work at microsoft is astounding lol.

even if there was a supervisor involved even they dont have the power, only the enforcement team does based in redmond.

Didn't they pub the no cheaters / obnoxious people stuff? Yes. And you can't even block people. Probably didn't work anyway ... even with superior 360 attempt.
