    Does backwards compatibility work offline?


    I downloaded Fallout 3 and Fable 2. They both worked fine at my house with Xbox Live. When I took my Xbox one to my parents house with no internet it keeps bringing up a box saying please reconnect to Xbox Live. I have the disc for both games so that's not
    the problem. Is there a way to play Xbox 360 games offline or do you have to be connected to Xbox Live?

    Backward Compatibility

    Hi, Backward Compatibility does work on the Xbox One, but only the ones on the backward compatible list.

    www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility     The list will be getting updated with more games every month. So keep an eye on that list, eventually your games may become compatible.

    BORDERLANDS BC ON XBOX ONE Why No Online?

    I have played Borderlands online with a friend through backwards compatibility, so it does work.

    Hello VeiledHurdle552,

    This problem can be resolved by changing your profile to go offline. You just have to go through the settings option to change it to offline.

    You don't have to be online but you do need to download the patch for the disk games initially from live

    I've streamed multiple backwards compatible games using Mixer

    This should also work for the original Xbox games that will be backwards compatible end of the year into next

    1. Yes. Since the game is backwards compatible it'll work on a Series X.

    2. Not all backwards compatible games have an enhanced update, but the Red Dead Redemption does.
