    Bought a Dell Alienware X51 a few days ago -- it is great...only problem is, I can't get any of the Microsoft crap to work. Three support calls and no Office or Outlook. I have another support call scheduled for next week, so I thought I'd play Cold Alley
    in the meantime. It looks great too...only problem is, even though Control Panel says my joystick is working fine, I can't get it to work in the game.



    I have a Thrustmaster T1600M joystick. Doesn't work at all in Cold Alley...any thoughts?



    I am very close to packing the machine up and shipping it, and the lousy Microsoft abortion called Windows 8 back to Dell.



    Maybe some Microsoft tech will see this and give me ONE reason to not go RUNNING back to Apple...

    Unwanted Name Change made by Microsoft

    Microsoft don't need to ask you when they issue a forced name change.You agreed to the terms & conditions when you started your account,part of which says they can change your gamertag if it's against the code of conduct at any time.

    Doesn't matter how long you had the gamertag,it was only now just been reported,investigated & deemed against the Coc.

    Purchasing replacement parts?

    Xbox / Microsoft does not sell any component parts for the controllers. Only the removable tops for the joysticks and d-pad cover and the paddles too

    You do realize this is the support forum for the Xbox 360 right? Your grievances should be with Alienware and whoever made your joystick. Developers--not Microsoft--are responsible for drivers.

    This forum is for xbox 360. You need to speak to the manufacture. With regards o office and outlook you need to download them or buy them from your local PC store. I would say try looking on the windows forums

    I'm having a bit different issue. My Saitek Cyborg Evo Force joystick does not work properly with P3D and MSFS 2020. MSFS 2020 does recognize the joystick, but I do not have any precision at the controls. After moving
    the joystick to the left, for instance, it goes but when you center it again, the aileron does not return. The thrust lever does not work fine as well. I have already installed the latest 64-bit drivers but, turned vibrations off in MSFS2020 but it still not

    Connecting a logitech extreme 3d pro to an xbox adaptive controller

    As has been discussed in this thread, the Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick does not work with the XBox Adaptive Controller in the real world. The Microsoft website that says they work together is misinformation.

    Microsoft will not help you. They have not had anyone working on the XBox Adaptive Controller project for 4 years. They use the same video clips from 4 years ago every time they include the XBox Adaptive Controller in public relations announcements. Microsoft is done investing anything in this product, which is sad, but it is still more than Sony or Nintendo have ever done, and the XBox Adaptive Controller can be made to work if you do a bit of trial and error on your own and don't listen to the misinformation coming from Microsoft.

    I suggest you return your Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick for a refund and buy a Thrustmaster USB Joystick instead. The last time I tested the Thrustmaster USB Joystick with the XBox Adaptive Controller, they did work together in the real world. (I last tested the configuration that I am recommending a couple of months ago.)

    I have the same issue, fs2020 see the saitec evo, but it is not mapped.

    I can map it, but i have no idea what buttons are what?

    How do assign brakes to button 1 if i have no idea which button one is? does anyone have a labled map?

    Why does this joystick work in every thing other game including fsX, but not fs2020?
