Pre-paid gift cards

Im trying to add a Discover or Visa pre paid gift card (not an xbox gift card) and it keeps giving me error messeges. Does anyone know if adding these cards to pay for in game content is even possible. If so please help

 

I don't think it's possible to check the balance of a gift card without adding it to your account.

 

If you use the https://redeem.microsoft.com you should be able to type the code in, and it should come up as "Add £25 to your Microsoft Account" for example.

 

Hello ActualyCoder3, what Gamingboy177 suggested is correct you can type the code into the redeem code area, and it will bring up the amount of money displayed after this you can either confirm or decline the gift card so it can then be redeemed later.
