Does anyone know? Call of Duty Black Ops II downloading issue

I was chatting with support last night after redeeming a code to download COD Black Ops II. The game came with the console that I bought for my son. The game was not loading which led me to contact xbox support. After chatting a couple of hours and trying
various things (such as clearing the cache), we got the game to start downloading. It was at 12% when I went to bed. When I got up this morning (5 hours later) it was at 44%. Then the screen changed and when I tried to get it back, I hit download the game
to try and show my son the status of the download and I got one message that said download pending and then another message popped up saying that the game could not be downloaded. Is the game still in the process of downloading? or did it stop and now it
won't download? I

Unfortunately for you today is the day that the free games for gold renew.

The vast majority of people are downloading the free games today and that certainly has an effect on download times, it does for me.

I would advise waiting a few hours or maybe a day or two and try again.

I would also do some research on the modding going on in the old call of duty games, and the consequences of being caught in modded games, before letting your son play online.

 

I have no idea what that means. If you are advising that he not play it, I only need to be told once as I am not a fan of him playing it anyway after seeing COD Ghosts. Where would I research "modding"?

 

I would advise no one plays black ops 2 online with random people.

I do not work for microsoft, so you can take my advice or leave it, up to you.

I am also of the belief that kids should play kids games, not adult rated ones, again my opinion.

Thank you for your help and advice. That being said, I will not worry about the download. It will actually be an easy fix for me to say to him that I tried but it won't work and I won't be the bad guy.

 

That is a good idea, black ops 2 is a fun game but is also responsible for a lot of account bans.

 

If it bans alot of of call of duty players then i'll pass. No! im not a hacker. Just the fact for random bans. Plus i stoped playing call of duty after black ops. Never got the mood into it.
