Does anyone feel the death of the kinect?

Oh it definitely did matter to people when it was 360 vs PS3, you still had the comparisons and screenshots comparing aliasing lol.

^So true... how soon people forget. Either that or they weren't around/weren't involved enough back then to have paid attention. Anyone remember the flak Bungie caught when they
released Halo 3 on the 360? They actually had people pixel counting and raging at them because it wasn't 'True 720p HD'. lol

 

^ Nope must have missed all that crap, never heard anything like that back when i first got my 360. Was probably to busy actually playing games on it, rather than comparing screenshots haha

 

Seriously Scott, just because you are not aware of it or have knowledge of an occurrence does not mean it did not happen or did not exist.

Pixel Peeping has been around since Atari vs Intellevision.

Actually it goes back even further but for all reasonable purposes Atari vs Intellevision was one of the first cases documented on both Packing and Marketing.

 

i remember being part zx spectrum vs c64 days i had a c64 we always went on about the amount of colours in are games all 16 of them

@LostKauz, didn't say it never happened or never existed did i, Just that i never came across it. Arguments about performance/specs etc bore the crap out of me...

 

I bought an Xbox One last week with Kinect, I have been trying the Voice commands and it seems to be hit and miss. Tried the "Xbox, turn off" command and it would not work, must have tried it various times during the day, then suddenly it worked once.
Think the voice commands really need improved. I certainly wont be using it for gaming, though for Skype its great.

Is there a Zoom feature in Kinect One?

 

Xbox 1's Kinect is awesome. Sometimes you may need to repeat yourself or speak like you're talking to a dumb person. Xbox Friends, messages, achievements, go to, name game, it works a majority of time. QR code scanning is so handy saves entering in the 25
digit code. Gestures is OK. Games I have which use Kinect for sure, include Zoo Tycoon and Kinect Sports Rivals XD!! Jet boating is cool tried rock climbing. You can use it for video chat on your console. And for voice chat too. No more "I lost my mic" "have
to update my controller to make sure my mic works" "my mic broke" "need to change my batteries". Can sign in without entering your pin or your XBL password and it's secure to XD because the Kinect examines your face and body and uses it to identify you and
sign you in.

There are going to be peps who like, and don't want, Kinect. With Kinect, I feel you get the complete experience with Xbox 1. My Xbox 360 slim console, and Xbox 1 Day 1 Edition with Xbox 1 Kinect, has been a fun investment for me. It makes me happy when
I play on it during my free time and shrug off when we get home.

 

Xbox 1 is a next gen console. The console needs something more than just 'a controller'. It for me and am sure for others too, Kinect adds to the next gen feel for the console, something which the controller and any mic can't do alone. Kinect sounds like
Connect. And that's what Xbox and Xbox Live is something about. Bringing fun and connecting Xbox members in online play. It can be used for voice/video chat. It can identify you and use it to securely sign you in. If my friends or family wanted to sign in
with my profile with Kinect, they wouldn't be able to because without them going into my account, Kinect recognizes me. I read a comment by someone else on here when their cat walked in, their Kinect showed "guest" bubble over their cat. It's fun. And when
you have something like Kinect which adds to the enrichment of Xbox 1, it isn't going to die anytime soon.
