I hated the Controller shake in DR3. I thought it was so stupid that I went straight to the Options to turn it off.

Way back in the 80's I would make fun of my little sister for jerking a Controller around. We even gave it a name called oioc'ing, short for "outside influence on controller". I might have thrown that Controller away if I knew
the Industry would try to embrace that behavior 30 years later.

I did the same to my brother back in the day. But for so many people its just a natural reflex. In that regard I'm glad developers are trying to take advantage but there should always be an option to turn that functionality on or off.

  3. I'd rather see game developers integrate Smartglass, more than Kinect. Which is virtually zero for Kinect, so the bar is all ready set pretty low. hehe

Not here... in fact, I hope that never happens. No disrespect, but the idea of integrating smartglass (a la using a separate [from your controller] device to interact with your
    gaming experience) is ridiculous.

Smartglass means I have to put down one controller, pick up another [device] and look at a different (and much smaller) screen, perform w/e action I need to do, then put device
down, pick controller back up and resume gaming normally. How much more distracting and intrusive to the gaming experience can it get? At least with Kinect I can just speak what I want it to do, without the hassle of fumbling around with 2 devices
just to interact with one experience.

I purchased an Xbox 1. It was (in part) advertised as the 'One' device to deal with all my gaming and media experiences. I almost feel as if I have an Xbox .95. Companion device
(sold separately) required for full experience. >.<

If any other console adverts out there told us that it would require 2 separate controllers in order to get the full experience from their games/system, they'd likely get laughed
off the internet. In essence, further integrating smartglass, as it is now, in our games would be doing exactly that.

Who wants to use 2 separate controllers to play their games? I certainly do not. If they really wanted to pursue integrating the smartglass idea, they should have just made controllers
with a touch screen attached like the chat pad was. That sounds a lot more smart (IMO) than what we have now.

Play D4 if you get the chance, great game and uses the motion very well. Bit quirky story wise but interestingly so I thought.

The Kinect 2.0 is truly under appreciated in my opinion. I was completely against any kind of motion capture. The Wii, The Move and Kinect truly irritated me last gen. And the original Kinect gave them something to build off of. So coming into the 8th
generation I was a big skeptic of the new Kinect technology. I trusted Microsoft and their vision for for the next generation of home consoles. I have been blown away by the Kinect 2.0. As I posted before... The Xbox One with Kinect is truly the next generation
of gaming ( in my opinion ).

In my opinion the next generation of gaming should not just be an upgrade in hardware. Something innovative needs to come along with the upgrade in hardware. Look at the jump from the Xbox to the Xbox 360. While originally the PS2 and the PS3 was just
an upgrade in hardware. There wasn't even a friend's list in the beginning. Even the jump from GameCube to the Wii was significant, despite the Wii actually being irrelevant halfway through the 7th gen.

Well it seems pretty clear to me that developers have a vision, that doesn't include integrating Kinect.

and per all of the comments here, once again, it comes down to preference. I don't hate it. Don't just don't have an enjoyable use for it.

Maybe Xbox One 2.0 will be beefier (with money well spent), and will be truly a next gen console - and not an Xbox 360 1.75.

    ...just my opinion.

  14. It is interesting that only now in this current gen do console gamers give a crap about system specs/FPS/resolution etc. Nobody gave a crap when playing on a 360 or PS3, but as soon as the two systems perform slightly differently it's all that matters to
    some people.

Just play some *** games! Does anyone feel the death of the kinect? ;)
