    Hi i have had a series x for around a year now and ever since i have had it i have had issues signing in and it not recognising my hard wired internet connection, i often have to cycle the power and clear the mac cache to be able use it. I don't have that much spare time so it only gets switched on once or twice every few weeks and more often than not i give up as my spare time has been spent trying to get it to work. Is it time to give up and just play halo and burnout on my 360 that seems to work fine ?

    I have had it set up previously on a wireless network and unfortunately had the same issues, today was my day off and it has been repeatedly logging me out while i pause the game to make a cup of tea or take a call, it then won't log my profile back in and i have to switch the console off and on again 😂

    I"m really sorry about the situation you are in with your console's network connection.

    Please try changing the network cable you are using to set up the wired connection. The other option would be to use a wireless connection and see if you can connect with your network connection with that setup.

    It would also be best to try changing the network frequency to see if that sorts it out. You can change it by 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz or vice-versa on your router settings.

    I see. Please try setting up a manual DNS setting for your connection and let's see if that sorts out the issue.

    1. Please go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings >> manual

    2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

    3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

    hi,

    check in Settings on xbox one the Network Settings. You can test your Network Connection in see errrors.

    You Need to open this ports:

    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live

    Then you can try to clear the mac adress:

    To clear
    the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC
    address)

    Settings

    Network

    Network Settings

    Advanced
    settings

    Alternate MAC Address

    Clear and restart

    and last i would try a power cycle to clear the Cache:

    The clearing cache and mac address is only temporary. It eventually comes back. Is anyone else having this problem?
