Does Anyone Care About Xbox One Achievements Unrelated To Games?

I always though since they started adding them to your game history on 360 that the reason they did it was just to advertise.

That way when you compare or look at somebody's achievement list you see the app and hopefully you check it out too.

But yes it's very stupid and pointless and serves nobody's interest but there own.

 

They are useless. Now if Netflix gave me a free month for the annoyance, maybe I'd use it on the X1 rather than on the 360 or Roku.

They don't bother me at all, though I think they'd be more useful if the achievements were reached by performing actions (ie: learning how to use the various functions/capabilities of the app properly) instead of passively being a couch-potato for X hours.

 

It's form of advertising. When you are checking your friend(s) achievements, you are forced to see those "achievements" along with the ap's name.

 

app achievements - most obnoxious idea ever. It's almost as bad as having to watch a commercial before almost any youtube video now. I'm tiring of being slapped in the face by intrusive, unexpected happenings that are harshing my mellow. It needs to stop.

 

Along with the unattractive and cumbersome method of viewing achievements, these app types have added another reason why I hardly look at them anymore.

Yeah, I know it's subjective, but I like the way they're displayed on the 360 a lot better.

Yes completely useless as well as apps that show in your game history.

 

I got one of these last night for watching a movie on blinkbox. Unlike most of these achievements I do believe I deserved this particular one because it was a chore sitting there for 2 hours to finish such an abysmal movie.
