Does any one have a guaranteed list of multi console routers

I keep getting nat issues with my 2 xbox1s and i dont mind forking over the cash for a good router with great UPnP implementation, but thats not necessarily on the routers box at best buy, not to mention they have no idea what they are talking about most
of the time. So any one know of a router that will work every time?

Unfortunately there is no specific post with a list of only compatible routers.

You need to check each router individually.

It's not ideal but that's the only information I can find.

I really wish MS would have a web page with a list of routers that are confirmed and fully tested to have multi console support.

You would need a router with confirmed multi-console support to allow more than one xbox to get open NATs at the same time.

You should look for the network hardware information forums as that has information on different routers and whether they have confirmed multi-console support. It appears though that the vast majority of routers don't

 

Usealy if your having problems with you're NAT,you might have to try to unplug your modem and router at the same time wait 30 seconds then turn your modem and router back in. As far as a good router i use netgear. If you need further assastiance on an open
NAT you may need to call Microsoft Xbox support at 1-800-4myxbox and speak with a tec support.

 

Well i dont wanna have to do that every 40 mins.

 

I would buy a high end media router, searching the internet for "Best gaming router" will give you good results.

It's not actually the list you are after but it does list a load of routers and tells you if they have multi-console support or not.

That's what I did and now I have a router that gives me a consistently open NAT.

EDIT: Just to point out that not all the routers in that IGN article has multi-console support. So if you do look at that article make sure you also look in the network hardware information forums to confirm it has multi-console support.

 

See that's what ive been doing but i dont wanna trust that list for some reason, not to mention that a lot of high end routers are not on the list, can i ask what router u have ? And around how much it costs you?

 

I use a D-Link DIR-868L cloud router. It's just a router so you would also need a separate modem. I cost my about £75 from amazon.

I bought it because it had confirmed multi-console support on the hardware forums.

While I don't have 2 xbox ones I do have an xbox 360, xbox one, ps3 and ps4.

All 4 consoles require port 3074. Both Xboxes require it as standard and both playstations require it for games like COD and destiny.

Since getting this router I never have NAT problems.

My previous routers used to give me NAT problems due to port 3074 being required on different consoles.

 

Hope you've got this sorted if not I used to have a D-link 2640/R(£60) with two 360s with open NAT with no problems I now have a Billion Bi-Pac 7800n(£130) and two xbox ones both open NAT you should also have your consoles(XB1) on ENERGY SAVING START UP
as there seems to be a problem with the console regarding NAT issues but thats Microsoft for you QUALITY isn't their priorty.Out of the two i would recommend the Billion its more expensive but its a good router.
