Does any one else agree that microsoft should get rid of the "always online" feature?

As I stated setting my xbox to home is not an option and it never use to be that you had to do that play offline.

Many games can be played simply by putting Xbox in offline mode.

There is nothing forcing you to be online to play a single player game. As long as you are signed in as the home xbox you can play any of your games that do not REQUIRE internet to play offline.

This is directly done to counter people trying to cheat the system and get around buying games/manipulating the system to get 5 copies of a game for the price of one.

Setting your home system is very simple and easy.

MS has provided a way to play offline. If you pick to game share with someone that is one of the draw backs of game sharing.

As for how the dashboard looks that would require a ton of extra work and money. Every configuration would have to be tested and re tested. That would cause more bugs to come up, Longer times to fix bugs, and longer times for updates to come.

There are several SP games that require an online connection or check. I'm not sure specifics, but they do exist.

Its not theft. And who are you to jump to conclusions when I said I'm only game sharing with my son. I don't use any online features. yet I'm forced to be online anyways. I don't do multiplayer ect. FYI I don't have friends at all because it's a toxic
community as you just proved.
