Does An Xbox Live Subscription Via Credit Card Stack With Prepaid Card?

Hey Guys

Just a quick question. I usually pay my Xbox Live Subscription with a Prepaid Card (PPC) as I was almost always able to get it cheaper than full price; usually through sales, special offers, etc.

This year, using my Credit Card (CC) via the "Renew Your Subcription" tile that popped up on my Xbox One Home Screen offered me the cheapest possible deal so I decided to take Microsoft up on the offer.

From what I can tell, they did in fact take the money from my CC so I am still on Xbox Live Gold.

However, my PPC was due to run out on the 30th June 2016, and I used my CC to renew my Subscription on the 26th June 2016, and my account now says my Xobx Live Subscription will run out on the 26th June 2017.

Does that mean I've essentially lost 4ish days worth of my PPC Subscription? Or will I still be able to use the last 4ish days before the CC Subscription kicks in - i.e. my PPC Subscription will run out on the 30th June as planned and the CC Subscription
will start on the 1st July?

I'm not all that bothered if I've lost those couple of days, it's more that I'm used to PPC Subscriptions stacking and assumed that my CC Subscription would start when the PPC Subscription ended.

Gold subscription does not except prepaid cards.edit

Yeah it's legit. Though more and more companies are starting to accept them. Should be able to buy a pre-paid subscription card from a store and use it though, that won't require a credit/debit card on file.

 

Will Xbox Live Gold Cards work with EA Access?

xbox support via twitter told me that EA Access requires something that can be renewed monthly or annually....basically they want debit or credit so they can just auto charge you if you forget about it

 

Addendum: under "My Account > Services & Subscriptions" it says my Xbox Live Gold Subscription will end on the 27th July 2017, so I'm ever so slightly confused how that works.

Though if Microsoft want to give me an extra month thats not a problem with me

 

I would be inclined to believe that the latest date mentioned under Services & Subscriptions is the correct date, and that would be the one that applies. However, the best thing to do might be to get in touch with Phone Support, who would be able to look
into your account and see what has actually happened and what the current status is.

Had a quick check and it does look like I lost the last couple of days of my prepaid subscription. On the plus side, my new subscription lasts nearly a full month longer than what I lost so it's no big loss; just more of an annoyance that my subscription
now ends a few days before the end of the month.
