Does a 144hz monitor detect an Xbox Series X?

Just bought a new asus 144hz monitor for my series X. I tried everything and I couldn’t get any display on the new monitor. My series X works on my 75hz monitor fine. My new monitor works on the xbox one S though. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Is the xbox series X compatible with a monitor like this?

    :)

According to ASUS, the VG249Q should be compatible with the series X on 1080p, 120hz.

Thanks for sharing this. In this case, assuming your monitor only has one HDMI port, I would suggest you to reset your Xbox display settings:

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console. Unplug all cables from it, wait for 5 minutes and plug again.

Then, press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To change this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.

See how it goes and please let me know.

May I know if you have tried switching the ends of the HDMI cables? Some HDMI cables have directional flows for signal, so connecting it the other way around would make it not work properly.
