Do you use your Kinect to play games on your Xbox One?

...and don't worry, I know where you're coming from because I have a responsibility to watch over kids every single day (despite not being a parent myself). I'm just saying that it can be a good idea if done responsibly. If you have kids, then it's probably
not a good idea for the reasons you've already stated.

I do want to say though that if you're lifting the weights high enough to accidentally be let go and thrown at the TV, then you're probably doing something wrong (if you're "bowling with them" they shouldn't go much higher than your thighs, which means they
won't get thrown very far, depending on the weight used, especially by someone like a small child).

 

Nope, my Kinect is off 99.9% of the time. The thing is useless. I was looking forward to Kinect Sports Rivals, but after reading numerous reviews, and seeing how their already drowning us on day one DLC im gonna pass for now. Maybe when it hits $30. Until
then im gonna save my cash for Mario Kart 8, and the PS4 version of Watch Dogs.

Seriously, MS needs to ditch the Kinect and make it optional. I was a big fan of the original Kinect since it had a lot of great games, but this new one is useless unless your big into live streaming, Skype, or fitness games. The only reason MS forced it
into a package deal was because they knew that it wouldn't sell well on its own. They were also likely getting some sort of bonus from the government for helping them spy on people. Where is Kinect Adventures 2? How about a new Gunstringer, or maybe another
Kinect Disney?

 

I would love to see the Scene It remade for the awesome X1 camera. We had a blast w the first one but the camera had its limitations. This could put us in a real movie scene. Seems like the X1 camera works more like a camera when 360 was more infrared.

 

Yes, I love dancing around like a total spazz in my own living room Just like I did when the wii was released,, years and years ago.

I'm surprised everyone is so worked up about the Kinect - I didn't hear any of this when the original

Xbox camera first came out, and it was absolutely horrible.

 

But I think his post is %100 for a laugh. Also I think Nev should be using this as a tool for his show Catfish, Assuming millions of Americans have bought it.

 

If they never put out another game for Kinect, its still worth every penny I paid just for the voice commands integration.

I can't imagine voice commands not being a part of every gen going forward.

 

Everyone that complains about kinect spying probably owns a tablet or laptop with a camera on it.....

 

1 day into playing Rivals and Kinect died. CS said 3-5 weeks for replacement.

 

Galactic Geek, how exactly am I wrong? There also wasn't any complaints about the original XBox camera because it wasn't forced on people. If someone wants an XBox One, yet has no need or desire to get a Kinect, then why should they have to buy one? Its
not like its needed to make the system work. I would have had them remove the Kinect from the package and give a decent sized hard drive, or cut the cost by at least $100. Heck, since the system isn't even as powerful as PS4, they could have cut it down to
maybe $375-350. It would have easily put them ahead in sales.
