Do you think the games look any better in 4K?

I have my Xbox One X hooked up to a 4K TV. Now does anyone notice a difference when playing an Xbox One X enhanced game? The first game I tried when I hooked up my Xbox One X is Gears of War 4. I can't tell if it looks any better than it used to. I'm playing
Assassin's Creed Origins. I do think the game looks good but I can't tell because I started it after I hooked up my Xbox One X.

Xbox one upscales poorly

if you think the xbone will do 4 k when its struggling to do 720 your nuts. also games will look better but got news not doing 1080p now wont do it 5 years from now. dev will make games look better but 1080p native is not happening unless you buy a ps4

which game do you think looks better up to now? for me, it's definitely gta v.

 

The graphics certainly look a lot sharper and crisper compared to 1080p on my Xbox One S. I saw the difference right away with my 4K TV.

If you haven't checked already, make sure your Xbox video settings have been set to 4K. The settings are set to 1080p by default after you initially set up your Xbox One X.

 

To get the best out of 4K you need to be using a really big television. When I play Forza 7 I really notice the difference.

 

Another thing to check for, are you plugged into the correct HDMI port. Not all ports are set for 4k, you can check in picture settings of your TV.

 

This^ Went out and bought a new 43" Sony 4k with HDR for the bedroom. While the X looked better, it didn't "blow my mind" with improvement. Checked in the settings and found, "Your T.V. doesn't support this, that, blah, blah, blah!". One would think H.D.M.I.
port 1 would be the number "1" (Ha, ha.) port...nope, 2 and 3 are what you're supposed to use. Hooked it up to 3 and noticed a better picture and the X settings were all checked. Then read some more of the manual and found port 3 only supports ARC, so switched
the X to port 2, the sound bar to port 3, the PS4 to 4, and the Blu-ray player to 1.

Played around with the settings on the X and the new T.V. some more and WOW! You would think HDR would be on by default on a HDR T.V.; nope, had to enable that too. The difference between my old 40" Sony 1080P and the new 43", is like night and day. I'm
impressed.
