Do you think Destiny will survive for 10 years?

Hello everyone

The reason that I am making this post is because I love Destiny and It pains me to say that I don't believe that it will not last 10 years because Bungie / Activision is only providing " bare bones " content and the time spacing in between DLCs is way too
long in my opinion.

Now, if Bungie / Activision wasn't providing " bare bones " content, the time spacing between DLCs wouldn't be an issue at all.

I have been playing this game ever since it came out and I am waiting for the " House Of Wolves " DLC to come out already. I currently have over 100 Ascendant Shards, Ascendant Energy, Motes Of Light. I still am having fun with the game but I wish that
there was more stuff to do in it.

Rinoa Heartilly (level 31.25 Warlock, Human Female) and her weapons already inflict 331 damage; she is my only character and I don't intend to make other characters to level 31.25

The only way that Destiny will last 10 years is if Bungie / Activision puts more content on the core game of Destiny 2 and they put more content on the DLCs given the time spacing in between the DLCs.

If you're asking tthe question... " Am I back in the forums? ", sadly the answer to that question is no. Sorry

I don't think Windows 8 failed as much as people imply. Its still sold millions. Also if Sony can survive 10 or so years in the red, I think MS can survive a few missteps.

After i finished the wack story i put it away for good wont be buying destiny 2 unless they step it up big time i cant speak for everyone but i dont think it will last 5 years if it stays the same

 

I traded it in, It should have sold as an online only game.

Was really pumped for the game but the way it's structured and the time sink that's involved in the hope you get the drops you want is a major flaw. I've prettymuch moved on from it now. Will play the next DLC missions I've already payed for but after that
unless it gets a major overhaul I'm done.

Will only last that long if it if the second version of it is totally different.

 

I lost interest before the end of 10 day's. Tbh I have no idea why people are still playing it, I suppose everyone has there likes and dislikes though.

10 years though? I really can't imagine many people still interested in it by then, and a sequel would have to be a hell of a lot better than the first to make me want to spend my cash.

It is no secret that I love this game, but the way that I see it Destiny is struggling to make it to the 1 year mark.

I agree that unless changes are made, Destiny 2 is going to be a flop

I still enjoy destiny. I think it is starting to get a bit boring now though after 350 hours. I do feel as though I got my money worth but not sure if my interest will hold till may or June, which is supposed to be when house of wolves comes out. I agree
that either a lot morecontent is needed soon or smaller amounts more often. This game is on its death bed though. I have hardly any friends playing anymore. And it's certainly getting quieter on the field of battle!

 

Unless they change their ways and actually start giving players some meat, this IP is going to fail and only the hardcore fans will continue keep buying into it.

For me, the game is dead, I tried playing the DLC and didn't even make it through the first mission before I got bored and turned it off, and if the next DLC is just more of the same as the last DLC, I'm not even going to bother downloading it and write
off my digital guardian edition as a bad investment and delete the game.

 

For me Destiny is dead now.

I've said it before but I did enjoy it, especially in co-op, it was a good shooter but in my opinion Bungie failed to deliver big time on this, well failed that they said one thing before launch and we got something different on launch and since ( meaning
DLC )

Will it last 10 years? who knows but for me to even go near Destiny 2 Bungie will have to deliver something very special indeed.

 

I wanted to like this game. I was impressed by the limited time I had the BETA so I went out and bought the game. I played it for about a week and it got very repetitive and tedious. I tried to play the multilayer but lost interest because of the upgrading
I had to do in order to play the MP.

So do I think Destiny will last 10 years. No I can't see that happening. But if it does then I am happy for those that play it.

 

Destiny could've been so much better. The actual mechanics of the game and the gameplay was brilliant. However the repetitive aspect got boring, then we were forced to play with other dudes online. The maps were hardly different from each other. They just
kind had it, then lost it. Will it last 10 years?,. No chance.
