Do you prefer Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

The 360 wins out for me because its an all round better media machine than the one.

Kinda weird really that the One was touted as a media machine but the only thing it can do better than the 360 is blu-ray.

 

Packed my Xbox 360 up and put it back in its box last week. It's going to a new home today where the old girl will get used instead of collecting dust in my cupboard.

 

Right now, I would say Xbox 360.

Why? Voice Messaging Xbox Live Feature!, COD BO2, 80% of my friends are still stuck on it, has a more kid and youth friendlier UI than Xbox 1's Windows 8 style UI, Happy Wars/A World of Keflings/ more games simply, Xbox Live Party, Your Xbox Avatar isn't
hidden in a Windows 8 "Avatar App".

Xbox 1 has improved since launch though...

Brought back most of the missing XBL Features, can change the Dash background woo, Zoo Tycoon Halo MCC and that games 'look' better on Xbox 1. I love the Kinect and the controller.

 

I've gotta say that really the only reason I own an Xbox is to play games, regardless of which UI is better blah blah, the Xbox One is the better console to me, purely because it plays newer games.

I played Mafia II this year and after playing the Xbox One for a good 6 months, Mafia II looks horrid, like really bad and I'm sure this game looked awesome when it released. After that, I decided to stop buying games for the 360 and haven't since.

 

The only reason for me to go back to my 360 nowadays is for some of the games that were, and still are, great. Now, if only they could transfer your entire library of games played to the One... It's a fool's dream, I know, but man oh man - how awesome would
that be!?

 

I like the Xbox 360 better. The Xbox One was, and is still a major turn off for me at any price.

 

I guess it's why Xbox Live services have been down way more since Xbox 1 came out. The Windows 8 styled OS on Xbox 1 doesn't like Xbox Live Language. Xbox Live services hasn't been this glitch back in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. This year, how many times
Xbox Live services have been down eg. problems signing in, multiplayer issues, notification issues, beacon issues, friends list achievement issues and more. Far too much compared to 2011, 2012, 2013.

 

@ FlambePlane, if someone has to do a hard reset all the time than they are doing it wrong. I've only had to do it once and it was due to something in the preview program. I haven't had any issues and I use it almost everyday.

 

360 was binned the day i got the one - Never looked back

 

The One all the way, havent turned on my 360 in months. Soon as they announce a GOW collection (and a Mass Effect one would be nice) that sucka is gone! I may even trade it for a PS3 so I can play the Last of Us.

 

After months of non use, I retired my Xbox 360 and PS3 to the loft on Sunday. The Xbox One is where it's at right now. Best console I've ever had. I've logged so many hours onto it so far it's insane.

 

As of right now I'm into the Xbox1 more.

 

I prefer Xbox 360. Another reason why is several times when I sign in to Skype with my Microsoft account, I get random so and so wants to add you as a contact and it's like within minutes of me soon opening the Skype app on my console. Skype is the only
way you can video chat on Xbox 1 unlike on Xbox 360 it has Xbox Video Kinect which doesn't deal with another division of Microsoft aka Skype. I don't know who these peps are the Skype app doesn't show a picture of them so I just decline. I have no provided
my DOB last name and phone number to Skype, because theres no way to change what personal info you provide from Public to Private. On Xbox, Microsoft is better at protecting your privacy than on Skype where randoms who don't even live anywhere near you who
don't play on Xbox just guess your name and send you a contact request. I find that freaky. I prefer everything to stay inside the Xbox division. Not for these complete strangers who don't give a hoot about Xbox sending me friend requests. I can understand
if you play on Xbox 360 or Xbox 1 and have meet there, but these random requests from Xbox 1's Skype app is just bizarre.

 

Easily XBOX One. My 360 is nothing more than a Netflix player on my TV downstairs.

 

When I got my second One, the 360 left the building. I consider it a dinosaur.
