Do you play wireless or do you plug the controller in your console?

If you watch MLG tournaments, you'll notice that the pros plug the controller in.

The reason is there is no input lag. Another reason why it's better to plug that controller in

is that you don't have to worry about the battery life.

I've got my Xbox in the living room. I don't like to have that long wire to my Xbox.

The input lag is sometimes noticable in FPS's.

My question is wether you play wireless or plug the controller into your console.

    :)

Keep getting disconnected from xbox live.

Do you have the external wireless network adapter? If so, is it the black or white model, or do you have the internal wireless network adapter (Xbox 360 Slim).

Could you check your router if UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is turned on.

    Controller Acting Strange

It sounds to me like it's the port you're plugging the controller into. If it were the controller itself, it wouldn't matter which port you plugged it into; it still wouldn't work. Since one of your ports still works, I'd suggest you just plug it into it and when you have the money, just buy another wireless controller.

Interference too. All those wireless headset in a tournament setting would just break each other anyway.

For home use its all about which route you want to take: Convenience or Competitive Advantage.

Are you willing to make the sacrifice of getting rid of your freedom to walk around mostly anywhere in your house with your amazing sound with you or do you want that 0.01 sec sooner response time for maximizing your gaming potential (yes this does makes
a difference in the top end 1%).

Casual enjoyment vs serious competition is pretty much what it boils to. There is no wrong with w/e route you take, its all about meeting your personal needs.

    Wired versus Wireless Controllers/Headsets

I prefer wireless controller and wired headset, but I do not recommend using a wired controller and a wired headset. Some headsets will make a weird buzzing noise when plugged into a wired controller. And also, same goes for plugging your wireless controller
into your console to charge a battery pack.

    Hi Mark,

Do you happen to have a wired controller plugged into the console, besides the wireless one you are using? Sometimes if you leave a controller plugged in, the controller could be against something that would cause input.

    Please let us know.

Gears of War consoles freezes, has red power light when wired controller plugged in.

@Ennileah, You should really read the WHOLE post before posting your thoughts.

Just to make sure. It is a WIRED controller and not a wireless controller using a Play n' Charge kit.

I think your Xbox is having a power failure when your controller is plugged in.

    My suggestings:

    1. Unplug the controller after you turn the console off and dont plug the controller in untill after the console is booted up

2.Try another wired controller or Wireless controller
