    On three different games now I am getting this error (0x803f8001) for the last month or so. Sometimes it gets fixed if I turn off and unplug the console for like 10 mins or so. Other times it won't fix at all. I initially got the error with GTA V and
    now I can't even play the game. Then I had the issue yesterday with The Crew. That game stopped installing at 48% because of this so I switched over to Forza Horizon 3 and I was good. Now today, I can't play Horizon 3. What the hell is wrong with Microsoft????
    I should not need to restart/reset my console every single time I want to play a game.

    Any solutions out there that I could/should try to fix this for good?

    Do you own this game or app?

    Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

    If it does not then you may need to try deleting then reinstalling the game. You can delete the game by highlighting it from the dashboard then press the start button on the controller and choosing Delete.

    To reinstall go to My Games & Apps then Ready to Install.

    I used a download token to play the game yesterday and today it's asking if I own the game or app.

    Now.........in the middle of playing Forza Horizon 3, it just cuts back to the home screen and says the same damned error message! This is quite frustrating and honestly......a waste of my damned money! Never had an issue with this console until this and
    it is ALL THE TIME! If PS4 had Forza, I'd be switching right about now.

    Anyone? Any of those magical Microsoft folks around that can/want to chime in???? This is getting ridiculous and I have no idea how to solve this....

    Hey there,

    Are these disc based games you own, or do you happen to be game sharing with a friend or family member who owns these games digitally? This error normally pops up when the owner of the license is not signed into the Xbox One console, or if it is a disc based
    game the disc will need to be inside the console. You can check the games you have purchased digitally through our
    Microsoft Commerce page while signed in to make sure you own the games in question.

  7. currently having a similar issue with black ops 3. Ive owned the game and installed/uninstalled it multiple times over the past year or so. Today though, it refuses to install. I can get to 4% and nothing else. I got it to tell me the game needed an update
    one time. Now im sitting staring at the green starting screen now for 10 minutes. Seriously upset

    This has happened to me several times too.

    1. Make sure if you've installed the game to an external HDD instead of your console internal storage, that the external HDD with the game on it, is connected to your Xbox One.

    2. Ensure the game or app is up to date, and that it has fully been installed.

    3. Ensure your console has the latest system update.

    4. Restart your console and try again if the above don't work.

    5. If the above don't work, contact Xbox Support, the official support agency Microsoft has delegated. Don't rely and wait for the reply of unofficial non Microsoft employee/support people to make a reply. Xbox Support since I've used it, is great. Although
    they're not perfect, it is the official support body from Microsoft. And Microsoft has quality control over Xbox Support and standards of what is expected from Xbox Support. Last time I contacted them, they sent me a feedback email for me to rate them on the
    service. In 2011 I rang them and they read of a script which was funny but kind of weird. But now they have chat so it's usually txt chat.

    Hi there,

    please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

    If that fails please check what happens when you set the console as Offline and try to start the game to see what happens.

    Sorry to hear it. If you have the disc version of the game you will need to insert it to prove ownership. If you had purchased a digital copy of the game then you would not need to do this. As for the DLC please highlight the game on the Home screen and
    press the Start button on your controller then select Manage Game. From there you can check to see if the DLC is installed to your console, if it is not you can go to the Ready to Install list in that menu and install the content so long as it was purchased
    under your account.
