Discus and support "Do you own this game or app?" in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I would put a game in and usually it would automatically take me to it but now it is just staying at my home screen and I go click on the game I want...     I would put a game in and usually it would automatically take me to it but now it is just staying at my home screen and I go click on the game I want to play and with the disc in the Xbox it asks me if I own this game or app I have tried restarting my Xbox
    restarting my Wi-Fi cleaning the disc and I have put other games in and it still won't allow me to play the games

    Do you own this game or app?

    Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

    If it does not then you may need to try deleting then reinstalling the game. You can delete the game by highlighting it from the dashboard then press the start button on the controller and choosing Delete.

    To reinstall go to My Games & Apps then Ready to Install.

    I used a download token to play the game yesterday and today it's asking if I own the game or app.

    Happens to me every so often, the way I deal with it is to go to settings >restart console - Never hard reset. Works every time for me.

    This has happened to me several times too.

    1. Make sure if you've installed the game to an external HDD instead of your console internal storage, that the external HDD with the game on it, is connected to your Xbox One.

    2. Ensure the game or app is up to date, and that it has fully been installed.

    3. Ensure your console has the latest system update.

    4. Restart your console and try again if the above don't work.

    5. If the above don't work, contact Xbox Support, the official support agency Microsoft has delegated. Don't rely and wait for the reply of unofficial non Microsoft employee/support people to make a reply. Xbox Support since I've used it, is great. Although
    they're not perfect, it is the official support body from Microsoft. And Microsoft has quality control over Xbox Support and standards of what is expected from Xbox Support. Last time I contacted them, they sent me a feedback email for me to rate them on the
    service. In 2011 I rang them and they read of a script which was funny but kind of weird. But now they have chat so it's usually txt chat.

  6. Another solution is to hold the disc a split second longer while the optical drive attempts to pull it in.

    DO NOT stick your finger in the hole of the disc, or you may loose some skin.

    Hi there,

    please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

    If that fails please check what happens when you set the console as Offline and try to start the game to see what happens.

    Sorry to hear it. If you have the disc version of the game you will need to insert it to prove ownership. If you had purchased a digital copy of the game then you would not need to do this. As for the DLC please highlight the game on the Home screen and
    press the Start button on your controller then select Manage Game. From there you can check to see if the DLC is installed to your console, if it is not you can go to the Ready to Install list in that menu and install the content so long as it was purchased
    under your account.
